Privacy policy.

This policy explains what personal information Sigmoid Vedanta Technologies ("we", "us") collects when you use sigmoidvedanta.com (the "Site") or contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have. We are a micro enterprise registered in Kerala, India. We are the controller of the information described here.

The short version: the Site sets no cookies of its own, we collect only what you choose to send us, and we do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.

Information you send us

When you email or call us, we receive what you provide: typically your name, email address, phone number, company and the content of your message. We use it to reply, to prepare proposals, and, if you become a client, to deliver the engagement. We keep correspondence for as long as it is relevant to our relationship with you and to meet legal and accounting obligations.

Technical information

The Site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes the IP address, browser type and requested pages of every visitor in order to deliver the Site, protect it from abuse and produce aggregate traffic statistics. We see these statistics in aggregate only. Cloudflare's own privacy policy describes its processing.

Fonts

The Site loads typefaces from Google Fonts. Your browser requests the font files from Google's servers, which involves sending your IP address to Google. Google states that it does not use these requests to profile users.

Cookies

The Site does not set cookies and does not use advertising or tracking technologies. If we add privacy-preserving analytics in future, this policy will be updated first.

How we use and share information.

Legal basis

We process the information you send us because it is necessary to respond to your request and, where applicable, to perform a contract with you. We process technical information on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a secure, reliable website. Where the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 or another law requires consent, we ask for it.

Who we share it with

• Service providers that host the Site and our email, currently Cloudflare and Google, under their standard terms.
• Professional advisers such as accountants, where necessary.
• Authorities, where the law requires it.

We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

Client project data

Data that clients entrust to us during an engagement, including data belonging to their own customers, is processed only under the written agreement for that engagement and in accordance with the client's instructions. It is never used for any other purpose.

Security

We use reputable providers, encrypted connections, access controls and least-privilege principles to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and object to or restrict its processing, subject to applicable law. If you have given consent, you can withdraw it at any time. Write to contact@sigmoidvedanta.com; we will respond within thirty days. You also have the right to complain to the relevant data protection authority.

Children

The Site is intended for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

International transfers

Our providers may process information outside India, including in the United States and the European Union, under their standard contractual safeguards.

Changes

We may update this policy. The effective date at the top shows when it last changed.
